Nobuko Hokari is a Japanese lyricist whose professional career began in 1989. 

Her work spans pop, rock, enka, anime, television dramas, advertising campaigns, and more recently,  feature film 

screenwriting. 

Her comedy-drama screenplay, Sociable Weirdo, was one of ten screenplays named an Official Selection at the 2026 

Northeast Film Festival and nominated for an award at the 2026 Austin Spotlight Film Festival.

Born in Niigata, Japan. New York resident since 2001.
